WELCOME to Tamalpais Preschool, a private, non-profit corporation that has been in continuous operation since 1956. While the school is nonsectarian, it was built cooperatively with the church in which it is housed. The school has the distinction of being among the oldest independent preschools in Marin County and is licensed by the State of California. The school welcomes all children without regard to race, religion or ethnic origin.

Tamalpais Preschool provides a happy and secure environment for your child's early learning. The school promotes the development of the child through an integrated program, designed to stimulate and enhance creative, cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth. By emphasizing the child's overall development, we hope to lay the foundation for social adaptability, creative achievement, cognitive challenge and a job of learning.
