Our FACULTY Tamalpais teachers have been trained in Early Childhood Education and participate in regular in-service training sessions, as well as workshops and seminars. Teachers are hired on the basis of their professional commitment to children. Each teacher strives to be supportive and responsive to children throughout the day, by facilitating play, arranging the physical environment for appropriate learning challenges and guiding children's behavior and emotional development. All our teachers have Early Childhood Education Teaching Permits from the State of California. Staff meetings are held each week, to discuss programming and to focus on the Our Director, Marcela Amador Marcela received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Dominican University. She has recently obtained a Program Director Child Development Permit from the State of California and has many years of experience teaching young children.
